Safaricom has teamed with Zeraki Learning to provide secondary school students with cheap education services from qualified teachers and educational video lectures.
This digital platform aims to give topic-by-topic exams as well as sophisticated metrics to assist students diagnose and track their deficiencies.
“Our investments in education, both from a solutions and philanthropic perspective, are geared towards addressing current gaps and boost youth employability. Through the partnership with Zeraki Learning we want to ensure that the platform makes digital education accessible and affordable. For parents, Zeraki gives them access to their child’s academic record which they can use to support their decisions”, said Peter Ndegwa, CEO, Safaricom.
Safaricom has added a feature to its MySafaricom App that allows parents and guardians to sign up for the service for as little as KES 20 per day. Customers’ airtime/postpaid bills or M-PESA accounts can be used to deduct the payment.

Zeraki Analytics provides an interface for results analysis, mark input, and mass message to parents, making it the most up-to-date solution for accumulating and evaluating student data. Zeraki analytics findings provide teachers with a novel and simple approach to examine and visualize exam outcomes.
