Xiaomi first introduced its line of low-cost, distinctively designed wristbands in 2014. In 2022, the Mi Band 7 is available for purchase.
The first thing you notice about Xiaomi’s new Mi Band is its size. The tracker has a 1.62-inch Always-on AMOLED screen, as opposed to the Mi Band 6’s 1.56-inch display. Xiaomi claims that the viewing area has been increased by 25%. The pixel density of the panel remains unchanged at 326 PPI.
Xiaomi has also improved the UI on the band with redrawn icons, new effects, and reimagined data graphics because of the larger screen. You also get new watch faces — exactly 100 new, customisable ones.
Xiaomi has introduced two new band colors for the Mi Band 7: camouflage and fluorescent. The fitness tracker will be available in six distinct color options with these.
Design and features
The Mi Band 7 has the same design as the previous iteration. The pill-shaped screen coupled to a small bracelet makes the tracker both functional and wearable.
Xiaomi has announced four new sports data analysis options for measuring training load, recuperation time, maximal oxygen intake, and aerobic/anaerobic training impacts.
The Mi Band 7 includes 120 sports modes that cover both outdoor and indoor activities such as gym training, aerobics, and more. It may also measure calorie consumption and analyze the data in conjunction with heart rate information to better understand fat loss efficiency.
Furthermore, the Mi Band 7 supports all-day heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, stress tracking, women’s health tracking, breathing training, and other popular health-tracking activities.
Like its predecessor, the Mi Band 7 is 5ATM certified. This means it can endure water pressures corresponding to a 50-meter depth. You can basically dive into the pool with this item.
Battery life
Xiaomi’s Mi Bands have always had excellent battery life, and this time is no exception. Because of the 180mAh battery, the company says you will get 14 days of continuous use with typical use. This is significantly larger than the 125mAh battery on the Mi Band 6.
Pricing
The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 standard version is priced at $37, and the NFC version is priced at $44. It’s just a bit more expensive than the Mi Band 6. However, Xiaomi is offering early bird pricing of $36 and $42 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Mi Band 7’s colorful TPU wristbands are priced at $3. The special Fluorescent and Camouflage bands will cost $5.
Global launch is yet to be announced.
