Twitter recently opened up applications for its Professional Profiles feature to businesses and personal profiles. The platform also introduced a Promote button to the mix in the process.
The Promote button’s purpose is to ensure that your tweet reaches a larger audience based on your criteria in exchange for a fee that changes depending on the amount of people being promoted to. It’s essentially social media advertising, with your tweets serving as the primary advertising vehicle in this case.
However, it appears that the majority of people dislike the overall appearance of the Promote button. So, how can you get rid of it?
Generally, you would have to stop using the Twitter Professsional Profiles feature.
Step 1: On your Twitter profile, tap the “Edit Profile” button on the right side of the screen.
Step 2: Tap “Edit professional profile.”
Step 3: Tap “Switch Account Type.”
Step 4: Tap “Switch to Personal Account.”
