Tecno has announced the Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition, the first smartphone to feature light detecting technology.
The polychromatic photoisomer technology, often known as’sunshine drawing,’ allows the phone to change color when exposed to sunlight, breaking away from the usual restrictions of either a single-color or dual-color degradation in phones.
The Camon 19 Mondrian Edition is part of the Camon 19 series, which also includes the Camon 19 and Camon 19 Pro, as well as the Tecno Camon 19 Pro 5G, which were released in June.
The phone, developed in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in Boston, is inspired by 20th century art icon, Dutch painter and theoretician Piet Mondrian, who is known for the De Stijl movement, which rejected visually perceived reality as the subject matter and restricted form to the most basic elements.
Tecno Mobile’s Regional Marketing Manager in Kenya, Alex Liu, stated during the unveiling that the new addition to the Camon 19 series is in line with the company’s mission to fostering innovation in both technology and the arts.
“We’ve taken everything our users love about Camon series; great camera stylish look and super thin bezel and created a smartphone experience that delivers a true one-of-a-kind aesthetic never before seen on mobile devices,” said Liu.
The phone sports an 8.8-inch Full High Definition (FHD) screen with a High Gamut Display and 8GB RAM storage with support for up to 5GB additional RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The Mondrian edition comes with a triple rear camera that includes a 64MP Super Night Camera, a 50MP Portrait Camera, and a 2MP Bokeh Camera for the blurring background effect. In addition to the AI beauty, portrait, and super night modes, the 32MP Super Selfie Clear Camera offers a new sky shop option that allows you to adjust the sky as you like.
It includes a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging capabilities that can fully charge the phone in 65 minutes.
