In a first-of-its-kind move, Netflix will stream a live stand-up comedy special featuring Chris Rock on March 4, 2023.
The event will be available for viewers worldwide, making it a truly global experience.
“Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation,” said Robbie Praw, Netflix Vice President of Stand-up and Comedy Formats.
“We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history. This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honored that Chris is carrying this torch,” he added.
This will be Rock’s second stand-up special for Netflix, following his 2018 special Tamborine.
He is a four-time Emmy winner for his work in comedy, including two Emmys for his 1996 special Bring the Pain.
Rock is also known for his work in films such as Madagascar and Spiral: From the Book of Saw, as well as his writing and directing of films like Top Five.
