Xiaomi today launched a range of devices and wearables for the global audience. Here’s what they announced. Xiaomi’s tagline for today’s launch was ‘Master Every Scene‘ which means the devices are intended to provide consumers all around the world with a cutting-edge videography and entertainment.
Xiaomi 12
The Xiaomi 12 comes in three colours; purple, blue and gray. The phone comes matte finish that’s smudge-free and fingerprint-free. It is designed with a rounded aluminum alloy frame, a curved display, and a curved back for a complete smooth in-hand feel.
This phone has a 6.3-inch FHD+ 120Hz screen, three rear cameras with a 50MP main, 13MP ultra-wide and 5MP telemacro snapper, a 4,500mAh battery, 67W wired and 50W wireless charging, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
The 67W turbo charging powers the phone to 100% in just 39 minutes.
Xiaomi introduced another Xiaomi 12 variant, the Xiaomi 12X. Xiaomi 12X features a power-efficient Snapdragon® 870 chipset and has a similar design language and features as the Xiaomi 12.
Xiaomi 12 Pro
The display is a beautiful 6.73-inch 120Hz 1440p LTPO OLED panel with a slight curvature. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 like any other 2022 flagship. There are options for 8GB or 12GB of RAM, as well as 256GB of storage. The battery has a capacity of 4,600mAh and can be charged at up to 120W via cable or 50W wirelessly.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is the company’s first top-end phone with 120W charging – that’s 18 minutes to power it completely full, apparenlty.
Three 50 megapixel sensors are included in the camera system. The main camera sensor is a 1/1.28″ Sony IMX707, with a 115-degree ultrawide and a 2x telephoto lens on the other two cameras. The selfie camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels. The main camera, according to Xiaomi, has a 120 percent better light-gathering performance than the Mi 11’s. This new IMX707 sensor is being used for the first time in the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro
Xiaomi has made huge strides, hitting number 2 in the global true wireless earphones market.
Xiaomi intoduced new buds that they claim will provide immersive beats and a magical sound. They come in two colours; Carbon Black and an Gloss White. They’ve got up to 40db active noise canceling with a few different modes depending on where you are. There are transparency modes too so you can hear people when you’re listening to music.
Xiaomi claims a battery life of up to 6 hours on a single charge.
Xiaomi Watch S1 Series
There were two watches launched; the Xiaomi Watch S1 and Watch S1 Active. It seems that Xiaomi is breaking up its watches like how Samsung used to, with a standard ‘classical’ looking, and a sports-focused, version.
The Xiaomi Watch S1 Active has a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen. It comes in white, blue and black, and you can mix and match which body and strap go with which.
There are 117 fitness modes apparently, though we presume they’re not all that in-depth.
There are 19 ‘professional’ modes, which apparently does give you lots of metrics for certain sports. Tennis was named as one of them.
The Active comes with these as well as Bluetooth calling, NFC, Alexa compatibility. It also has a 12-day battery life and built-in GPS.
