Oppo introduces Reno 10 Pro 5G and Reno 10 5G in Kenya: Price, specs and availability

Oppo today unveiled its latest Reno 10 series smartphones in Kenya, bringing 5G connectivity and high-end features to the East African market.

The Chinese electronics maker introduced the Reno 10 Pro 5G and Reno 10 5G models at an event in Nairobi. The phones boast upgrades like high-refresh rate displays, improved camera systems and faster charging.

The flagship Reno 10 Pro 5G sports a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. It packs a Snapdragon 778G processor, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The quad rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor and 32MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The 4,600mAh battery supports 80W fast charging.

The Reno 10 5G has a nearly identical 6.7-inch 120Hz display but is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chip. It offers up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The 64MP main camera and 32MP telephoto provide 2x hybrid zoom. Fast charging tops out at 67W for the 5,000mAh battery.

Both models run ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 and have in-display fingerprint sensors. They also share specs like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and 5G connectivity.

The Reno 10 5G will retail for KES 56,999 while the Reno 10 Pro 5G is priced at KES 69,999. The phones are available through retail partners.

The company has grown quickly in Kenya over the past few years, ranking behind only Samsung and Transsion brands like Tecno, according to research firm IDC.

With competitive specs and 5G readiness, the new Reno 10 smartphones could further boost Oppo’s share in Kenya and other African markets.
