Samsung Mobile has unveiled the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, the company’s next-generation flagship Galaxy S smartphones. The Android-powered 5G phones include all of the features you’d expect from a new phone in 2022, including camera enhancements, longer battery life, and next-generation processors, among other things.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
Almost has considered this phone as the Note, without the ‘Note’ in the name.
“A Note-worthy new look. Meet Galaxy S22 Ultra, with the power of Note. Slim and bold, a polished frame surrounds the extruded shape for elegant symmetry. And the linear camera, accented by mirrored lens rings, seems to float in place.” reads a section on Samsung’s website.
This phone comes in 4 colours; Burgundy, Green, Phantom White and Phantom Black.
The phone features a Dynamic 6.8-inch AMOLED 2X display with Vision Booster that reaches 1750 nits at its highest brightness and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
This is also the first Galaxy S with built-in S Pen. The latency of the S pen has been reduced from 9 to 2.8 milliseconds. Without touching the screen, the S22 Ultra offers S pen air functions such as flipping through your photo album or managing the phone’s camera remotely.
Similar to its predecessor, it boasts a 108-megapixel main camera, 3x and 10x telephoto sensors, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and a 40-megapixel selfie camera. Instead, the emphasis is on improving low-light photo and video capabilities.
The gadget will be available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities on February 25th. The 128GB model features 8GB of RAM, while the rest of the models have 12GB.
Gorilla Glass Victus Plus on the front and back panels, boosted 45W fast wired charging (wireless remains 15W), and a 1TB storage variant are among the other features. A 5,000mAh battery, 5G and Wi-Fi 6 / Wi-Fi 6E, and, of course, IP68 weather resistance are all included.
The phone starts at $1,199.
