Infinix has announced its first 5G smartphone, the Infinix Zero 5G.
The smartphone features a large 6.78″ Full HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz and a maximum brightness of 500 nits.
The mid-range chipset is paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of fast UFS 3.1 storage. There’s also a microSD card slot for extra storage.
The phone’s design is known as Uni-Curve, and it looks similar to the Find X3 Pro bump, in which the elevated camera island is hidden beneath the same piece of plastic as the rest of the rear panel.
The Zero 5G sports a 48MP main camera and a triple shooter. There are 13MP 2x telephoto and 2MP depth sensor units next to it. A 16MP sensor is used in the selfie camera.
The Zero 5G comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that charges at up to 33W. It has a heat pipe to keep the termperatures in check. The operating system is XOS 10, based on Android 11.
Infinix will sell the Zero 5G in three colors – Cosmic Black, Horizon Blue, and Skylight Orange. The company said pricing will be revealed later on in each market.
The phone comes pre-installed with Android 11 and the XOS 10 skin.
